Outreach Coordinator Position

Part-time: 28 hours per week

LOCATION: Lusk, WY (some travel throughout Converse County and Niobrara County required)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Outreach Coordinator strengthens community awareness, prevention education, collaboration, and access to victim services throughout Converse and Niobrara counties. This position focuses on outreach, education, awareness campaigns, prevention programming, and relationship-building with community partners. The Outreach Coordinator helps increase public awareness of victimization and victim services, improve referral pathways, strengthen rural outreach efforts, and help underserved populations access advocacy and survivor support services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must pass background check

• Must have reliable transportation

• Maintain confidentiality pursuant to WY 6-12-116

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required

• Complete 40-hour advocate training within first three months of start date

• Proficient computer skills preferred—Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Canva

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

POSITION DUTIES

Outreach and Prevention

• Coordinate and participate in community outreach events and awareness activities throughout Converse and Niobrara counties

• Organize and provide educational presentations to schools, youth organizations, civic groups, businesses, and community partners regarding healthy relationships, victimization awareness, trauma-informed responses, available victim services, and referral processes

• Assist with development and implementation of prevention and youth education programming

• Promote awareness campaigns through traditional and social media platforms

• Assist in the creation and distribution of outreach and educational materials

• Coordinate “mini-trainings” and informational sessions for community-facing professions and businesses to improve awareness of victimization warning signs and trauma-informed referrals

• Solicit donations and community support for outreach and prevention activities when appropriate

Community Collaboration

• Foster good working relationships with peer agencies, schools, healthcare providers, law enforcement agencies, courts, businesses, and other organizations

• Support partnership development throughout Converse and Niobrara counties through regular communication and collaboration with community partners

• Serve as a HC ambassador at community meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives

• Assist with identifying gaps in awareness, referral pathways, and access to services in rural and underserved communities

Advocacy and Program Support

• Provide support services and advocacy assistance to qualifying clients when appropriate

• Participate in the HOPE Line (24/7 crisis line) rotation as assigned, with response to calls from law enforcement or hospitals as necessary

• Complete mandatory reporting when applicable

• Assist with processes to revise the supervised exchange program, including collaboration with courts, law enforcement, and county attorneys to support safer and more self-sufficient exchanges when protection orders are in place

Administrative

• Maintain timely and accurate reporting of outreach activities, presentations, referrals, and client services

• Monitor outreach and referral trends through the case management system to help guide future outreach and collaboration efforts

• Account for all program expenditures related to outreach activities and according to grant guidelines

• Assist with website updates, social media communication, and distribution of outreach materials

• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
